Nico's Sampaguita
Sacred Fire Film Productions is excited to announce its first project, NICO'S SAMPAGUITA, a narrative dramatic short film.
NICO'S SAMPAGUITA, co-written by Esperanza Catubig, Jenney Pauer and Aaron Woolfolk, is a story set in San Francisco's historic Fillmore jazz district. A grieving woman, Alma, struggles with the death of her husband and with what his spirit has left behind. Alma wants to stop her teenage son, Joey, from repeating the same mistakes made by his father, a free-spirited musician, while Joey would like to preserve and continue his father's legacy. Aaron Woolfolk, an award-winning director, helms the project.

Nico's Sampaguita executive producer/co-writer/actor Esperanza Catubig, producer Lisa Chong, assistant director Lawrence Iriarte and actor JD Charisma were featured guests on KPFA 94.1 FM's annual radio special "RADYO KALAYAAN".
The segment, which included a fun and informative mix of interviews with the cast and crew, as well as music from the film, was part of the station's special programming in celebration of Philippine Independence Day June 12th.
